Ronald J. Vales has been in transportation for 30 years. While attending College, Mr. Vales began working at Overnite Transportation as a part-time dock worker. During Mr. Vales fourteen year tenure at Overnite he progressed to Service Center Director of the company's largest facility over seeing both operations and sales. In 1993, Mr. Vales joined Averitt Express as a Service Center Director to open up the Chicago Service Center and eventually became the Midwest Regional Vice President. In 2000, Mr. Vales began his career in international transportation at Unity Distribution. When RoadLink USA purchased Unity in 2007, Mr. Vales served as Vice President, Sales. In 2008, Mr. Vales joined Central States and currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Mark P. Duffert

Vice President, Finance

Mark P. Duffert earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse in 1993. Upon graduation, Mr. Duffert accepted employment with Wisconsin Central Railroad (WC) in the accounting department. During Mr. Duffert’s eight year tenure at WC he progressed to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Mr. Duffert completed his Master of Business Administration at Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois in 1997. Mr. Duffert joined Hub Group, Inc. (3rd Party Logistics company) in 2001 as a field controller where he worked for two years. Mr. Duffert joined Central States Trucking Co. in 2003 as Corporate Controller. Mr. Duffert currently serves as Vice President, Finance.

Tom Powers

Thomas M. Powers has been in transportation industry for over 20 years. After attending college, Mr. Powers began working with Maersk Line, during his 12 years he progressed to Director of Operations for Bridge Terminal Transport’s Chicago division, a Maersk subsidiary company. In 2009, Mr. Powers joined Roadlink where he held the position of Area Director of the Midwest and was responsible for all the Region’s Operations and Sales. Mr. Powers joined Central States Trucking Co. in 2011 and currently serves as Sr. Manager of the Midwest.

Michael S. Oliver

Vice President, Corporate Sales

Michael S. Oliver has over 20 years of experience in the international freight forwarding and global logistics industry. After beginning his career with Expeditors International of Washington, he joined BALtrans Logistics as Sales Manager of the Groups Chicago office. During Mr. Oliver’s eight year tenure at BALtrans, he progressed to Vice President. He has traveled extensively throughout Asia and has a vast knowledge of international business, shipping and freight forwarding. In 2006, Mr. Oliver joined Central States as Senior Manager of Sales and Operations. Mr. Oliver currently serves as Vice President of Corporate Sales.

Rosemary D. Benetti

Rosemary D. Benetti began her transportation career on a part time basis while attending the University of Illinois at Chicago. After receiving her degree Summa Cum Laude in 1976, she continued in various administrative positions with Grane Trucking Co., Grane Transportation Lines, Leonardi Motor Service and Central States including Sales Secretary, Office Manager, Payroll/Personnel Benefits Manager, and Health Insurance Administrator. In addition to her corporate and administrative functions, Mrs. Benetti serves as Systems Manager with full control and responsibility for CST's computer programs. Mrs. Benetti currently serves as Vice President, Administration.

Steve Sniezewski

Senior Manager, Linehaul & CFS Services

Stephen R. Sniezewski has over 37 years of service in the transportation industry. Mr. Sniezewski began his international career with Link America Airlines while serving Vice President of Sales and Services. In 1990, Mr. Sniezewski joined Airport Distributors as Vice President, directing all corporate sales and marketing activities, along with the day to day functions of eight regional offices. Expanding his international interests, Mr. Sniezewski joined AC Express as Corporate Vice President offering the international airline community a nationwide “road feeder” program specializing in scheduled LTL and line haul services. In 2000, Mr. Sniezewski became part of the Central States Management team and currently oversees all Linehaul and CFS activities.


JJ Chaudoir

Senior Manager, Air & Intermodal

Jacques J. Chaudoir earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point in 2005 and served as President of SAAC (NCAA’s Student Athletic Advisory Committee).  Upon graduation, Mr. Chaudoir accepted employment with Metrie, North America’s largest manufacturer and distributor of molding and interior finishes.  Progressing quickly throughout his 5 year tenure to become Territory Manager of the Midwest Region expanding his international supply chain interests.  Mr. Chaudoir joined Central States in 2012 as Manager of Regional Sales & Development and is currently serving as Senior Manager of Air and Intermodal.
